Mammoth MX 2023

Racing High at 8,000ft

We made the trek up the 395 Highway in Southern California as we do every year for Mammoth, MX, but this time a couple of months later than usual. After a winter of record snowfall, the valley where the legendary high alpine MX track sits was buried under ice and snow well into the shoulder season. Pushing one of our favorite events from June to August. The longer hibernation made us more hungry than ever to be back and to do a little racing high at 8,000ft. We showed up with a big crew of racers and supporters, ready to have a good time, do some Bear hunting, and enjoy the scene. From the track to the trails high in the sierras, our crew was ripping around with a smile ear to ear. Over the race week, we had it all when it came to the weather. The vet weekend was sunny with perfect temps, and as the week progressed, it started to get cold and wet. Rain began to pour down on Saturday, making for an intense mud race that became more about survival and keeping it on two wheels. We loved every minute of it. After it was all said and done, we came away from this year’s Mammoth MX with a few Bears and a lot of good memories. We will be back next year to do it all over again, and the countdown has already begun until we touch tire-to-soil at one of the coolest races of the year.
