Massive Swell Hits | SoCal Scene
Tuesday, May 5, 2015
We're the first to admit it, we love two wheeled vehicles. But when a massive swell hits Southern California, we can't pass up the opportunity to cruise to the beach and check out some insane action.
Thanks inpart to a storm in New Zealand, huge waves were churned up and hit land Monday and today. We posted up at The Wedge—a famous break in Newport Beach—to witness surfers, body boarders, and body surfers take on the huge waves. At the time these shots were taken, waves measuring 10-18 feet were closing out on the shore and punishing almost anyone brave enough to catch a ride, as numerous people and lifeguards looked on.
