Mixin' Gas And Haulin' Ass | Trevor Stewart Big 6 GoPro
Round three of the District 37 AMA Big 6 Grand Prix Series visited Glen Helen Raceway this past weekend, and our crew had a rad weekend, hanging out and racing on the killer GH course, which wound through the hills behind the motocross track. On Saturday, Blayne Thompson—he took the win at the first two rounds—and Trevor Stewart hit the track for the pro race with Thompson in the Pro Class and Stewart in the Pro 2 Class. After jumping out to the early lead, and overcoming a few battles, Thompson took command of the race. Unfortunately, though, a malfunction on his bike caused it to run out of gas earlier than expected, forcing him to push his bike into the pits and dropping him back to sixth where he eventually finished. As for Stewart, his race couldn't have gone any better, and prior to him lining up, we talked him into letting us slap a GoPro on his helmet. Check out the video—and turn up the volume—but suffice it to say, he dominated the Pro 2 Class and nearly landed on the overall podium, finishing fourth aboard his YZ250 two-stroke. Also, don't forget to check out the accompanying photos from the weekend, as Terry Cook and Tony Parks held it down in the Vet Classes, with Terry finishing an impressive second overall in the stacked 30+ Class.
