Sean Collier's KX500 | Fire Breather
Back in the day when two-strokes ruled the roost, the Kawasaki KX500 was widely regarded as the baddest machine that only the toughest riders would dare swing a leg over. Raw abundant power made it the man's choice when it came time to race motocross, and a bike that only few would dare attempt to use to its full potential. Today, the KX500 has since been put out of production, but it still ranks at the top of nearly anyone's list as one of the most iconic machines in motocross. Skill, brute strength, determination, and a little patience were required in order to make the bike sing, and Fasthouse’s own Sean Collier put the machine pictured here to good use during the MTA Two-Stroke Championships at Glen Helen Raceway. But before he was able to throw massive amounts of roost at his competition, Fasthouse had the bike completely torn apart and rebuilt from the ground up by Luc “Frenchie” Caouette of C4MX Racing. When it was all said and done, the machine that Sean raced—and will race in the future—was one that turned a lot of heads.
