Thursday At Glen Helen | National Prep
It’s that time of year again. The time of year when the days get longer, the temperatures heat up, and the top pros begin preparing for their assault on the Lucas Oil AMA National Motocross Series, which is slated to begin on May 16th at Hangtown in Northern California.
Over the course of the next month—on any given weekday—the local Southern California tracks begin to turn from mellow practice days to full-blown Nationals with countless big names pounding out laps in preparation for the grueling summer events. Today was no different, as Eli Tomac, Brett Metcalfe, Justin Bogle, Cooper Webb, Jeremy Martin, and more took to the dusty, rough, and unforgiving Glen Helen circuit in preparation for the opening round less than three weeks from now. Not only was it the optimal testing ground for the sports’ elite, but it was also the perfect opportunity for Fasthouse’s Sean Collier to get some seat time in, and gauge his speed against the likes of Tomac and Metcalfe. Between working a 9-5 during the week, Sean plans to get as much seat time in as possible in order to compete in select Nationals this year aboard his Fasthouse/Thousand Oaks/Gasper/C4MX/FMF-supported KX450F. Today, he looked as smooth as ever, circulating the GH track and flying over the huge holes.
