It's been a few rounds of Supercross since this photo was originally snapped—photographer Brendan Lutes captured it during the first practice at Anaheim I—and if you follow @fasthouse_ on Instagram, you've likely already seen it. But what you haven't seen is what happened after Eli Tomac's hand came off when he landed from this particular jump. Simply put, he didn't ride it out, however, he did land much more graciously than any of us mere mortals probably would have. He then quickly remounted and re-joined the practice session. It's also worth mentioning that we caught the team applying a new grip to the throttle side of his KX450F between practice sessions.
